make up for it right here with the help of
your personal alpinVital coach - it's
fun and it won't push you too far. The alpinVital
program is a unique combination of
healthy exercise and nature experiences
involving all your senses. And always
keeping our eye squarely on one thing: the
joy of exercise.
And so, it's fair to describe alpinVital as
the most professional exercise coaching
in the Alps. It guides guests, no matter
what sporting prowess they bring to the
table, to more exercise and better health.
You determine for yourself precisely what
tempo and what activities are best for you,
true to the motto: "Healthy exercise -
whatever you want, whatever you can!"
And no matter what form of exercise you
prefer, whether you are already fit or are
ready to get in shape, there's a
custom-tailored program for everyone.
A vitality session lasts 1.5 hours and
includes "all-round service" featuring
your own special exercise program and
personal alpinVital coach, equipment,
pulse monitors and rain jackets.
Exercise sessions are offered for free, both
at your lodging establishment and at the
Altenmarkt-Zauchensee Tourist Office.

Harvest Festival -
experience the traditions of the SalzburgerLand !:
The manifold, colorful cultural landscape
and the living traditions of Salzburg's
farmers form the foundation for the
broad array of events during Harvest
Festival. Here with us, you have an
opportunity to experience first-hand our
traditions and country life - at our
farmers' markets and Harvest Festival
celebrations, often referred to in these
parts as "Farm Festivals".
Every week, generally on the weekend, one
town will host its own unique festivities,
including farmers' markets, country crafts,
traditional folk music and, of course, the
country delicacies often produced right
there at local farms. Enjoy famous
Salzburg specialties on the farm, such as
pressed cheese-dumpling soup,
meat pasties with sauerkraut and much more.
A special tip, as it is every year, is a
parade of the world's biggest hay figures,
thousands of visitors never failing to miss
this unique highlight. After weeks of
painstaking work by private individuals,
clubs and other locals, the life- and
over-sized hay figures are finally
completed. Perched on beautifully decorated
wagons and drawn by Noriker and Haflinger
horses and vintage tractors, these artistic
works of hay are paraded through town, a
grand finale accompanied by
whip-crackers and folk-costume groups.
