Skiing fun from late November until the end of April:
Our Hotel Salzburger Hof is located in the heart of Zauchensee, surrounded by state-of-the-art ski lifts and with the challenging slopes of the "Ski Amadé", Europe's biggest ski alliance, right outside our own front door. We offer you an unforgettable ski vacation amid the always-reliable snows of Zauchensee: even the lift base station sits at 1,350 m above sea level, while you can enjoy one-of-a-kind skiing excitement at elevations as high as 2,200 metres! Numerous inviting lodges with a traditional atmosphere also adorn our ski slopes, giving our ski area a reputation as one of the friendliest, most welcoming ski resorts around.

Hotel Ski Day on Mondays:
An opportunity to get to know each other and the area, as we head out on a skiing expedition with a ski guide and Thomas, a member of the Mayrhofer Family.

Traditional Evening Get-Togethers:
Two rustic huts adorn the town center of Zauchensee and are located right across from our hotel. Every Monday, people gather there to spend a lighthearted evening and enjoy live folk music.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides:
We are delighted to arrange your romantic carriage ride through the picturesque winter landscapes of Altenmarkt.

Snowshoe Hikes on Wednesdays:
Along 2 different routes through romantic Zauchensee Forest. Several guides and a Zauchensee hotelier will show you just how romantic an evening hike can turn out to be. The expedition concludes with a hot mulled wine, which we will enjoy in the snow-covered forest. Snowshoes are provided.

Night Skiing:
During the school holidays, the town organizes night-skiing events especially for the kids. Mom and dad can sip on a glass of mulled wine, as they watch their youngsters having a wonderful time.

Ice Skating on Thursday:
The Zauchensee provides a beautiful setting for ice skating under the lights. Combined with music and refreshments, skating becomes a very special experience. Skates can be rented out locally. The rink itself can also be enjoyed every day during the daytime as well.
