At the Salzburger Hof,
wine is a very important
and major element of all we
offer your guests.
Wellness can also be found in a
glass of fine wine.
Sitting in our Vinothek are
hundreds of wines, primarily
from Austria, but also from
Italy, Spain, France and "The
New World"!
We invest a lot of time in
sampling and purchasing the best
wines produced around the world.

to whether or not it was an
extraordinary vintage - says the
hotel's junior owner, himself a
certified sommelier.

Our Wine
Philosophy:
When purchasing wine, to pay
special attention to the
vintage, thus allowing us to
present you with the best wines
from the respective vineyards.
Allowing the wine to mature, not
selling it until it has had the
opportunity to attain its full
potential. This is the reason we
offer wines from a full range of
vintages! We regularly
sample the wines and only when
they have achieved the important
harmony between body, acidity
and tannin, are they then
included in our wine list.
The high cost of storing these
wines is something we are glad
to accept, in our bid to be able
to offer you a wine at its
delightful best!
We are proud to sing the praises
of Austrian wines. A
number of years ago, our
vintners recognized that they
had an obligation to produce
top-notch wines, as a
consequence drastically reducing
the amount they put out. Through
enormous dedication and much
hard work, they have justly
earned the good reputation they
enjoy around the world! |

The wine served
at the "Salzburger Hof Vinothek"
is personally selected and
sampled. This also fosters
contact with our vintners and
allows us to air the interests
of our customers!
Our annual wine travels have now
become quite a tradition, as we
visit our colleagues in the
various wine-growing regions
around Austria. Over and
over, we are fortunate to
encounter new, young and, above
all, innovative wine growers and
their wines. Sometimes, our
journeys even take us beyond
Austria's borders.
